AGM Safety Notice

Updated: Dec 7, 2022

Arabana Aboriginal Corporation and the Board of Directors want to ensure all our members are safe and able to have a voice at our AGMs. All our AGMs will have Security present to ensure the meeting is a safe place for members, children, and elders.

All Arabana people must feel safe at our meetings and have the opportunity to know what’s happening on our country without feeling threatened. A Zero Tolerance Policy will see the removal of anyone using abusive language and/or threatening behaviour.

Please note anyone present who is suspected to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be asked to leave.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we live, work, and play. We recognise the cultural, spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual and economic connection to their lands, water, flora, and fauna. We honour and pay respects to all elders; past, present, and emerging, as well as all generations of people now and into the future, for they hold the memories and the future.
