Stuart’s Creek

Stuart’s Creek Project – Planning for the Future

The Arabana Aboriginal Corporation is currently working toward acquiring the leasehold for Stuart’s Creek Station, a significant step in returning land to Arabana hands.

As part of this process, we’ve begun work on the Stuart’s Creek Project, which focuses on a phased transition plan to guide how we take hold of the land and manage it into the future. This includes undertaking a comprehensive feasibility study to explore all potential uses of the land: cultural, environmental, operational, and economic.

Our goal is to ensure the handover is successful and sets a strong foundation for the future. This project supports our broader vision of self-determination, economic independence, and sustainability for the Corporation. It also opens up future opportunities for Arabana people, on Country and beyond.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we live, work, and play. We recognise the cultural, spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual and economic connection to their lands, water, flora, and fauna. We honour and pay respects to all elders; past, present, and emerging, as well as all generations of people now and into the future, for they hold the memories and the future.
