Arabana Rangers

What do our Rangers do?

Arabana Rangers care for Country through cultural and environmental work across the Arabana Native Title area. They manage threatened species, monitor and protect mound springs and inland water systems, control feral animals and weeds, and protect cultural sites in line with the Arabana Wadlhu Ngurrku-Ku (Healthy Country) Strategy. They also learn from our Elders on Country to share that knowledge with community, and work with partners to strengthen long-term outcomes.

Ranger Project Plan

The Arabana Rangers Project Plan guides the work we do across Arabana Country. It sets out our priorities for protecting cultural heritage, caring for Country, managing water, monitoring native species, and building the skills and employment pathways of our Ranger team. The plan is shaped by the Arabana Wadlhu Ngurrku-Ku (Healthy Country) and Corporation Strategy Plans, and reflects the values, knowledge, and goals of our community.

Our Rangers

working hard for Arabana Country

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we live, work, and play. We recognise the cultural, spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual and economic connection to their lands, water, flora, and fauna. We honour and pay respects to all elders; past, present, and emerging, as well as all generations of people now and into the future, for they hold the memories and the future.
