Arabana Warli (warli meaning shelter in Arabana language) is more than just a place to stay. It’s a culturally safe space for Arabana people to come home to Country, reconnect with family, and share the stories, knowledge and traditions that keep our culture strong.

Created for the Arabana community, Arabana Warli supports our Elders, families and future generations, whether for rest, gatherings or celebration. It is a place of pride, belonging and connection.

Officially opened on 25 September 2026, Arabana Warli marks an important milestone for our community. Located in Marree, it features comfortable ensuite accommodation, accessible ensuite room, shared kitchen and dining facilities, and outdoor spaces for gathering. Commissioned artwork by Arabana artists specifically for Arabana Warli brings our culture and connection to Country into the space.

Subsidised accommodation rates are available to AAC members. Free accommodation for eligible Elders who are AAC members is supported through the AAC Elders Fund, subject to conditions and approval. Elders seeking this assistance must complete an Elders Assistance Form, available from the AAC office.

​

Warli also provides corporate accommodation and event spaces for hire, with opportunities to host corporate functions, executive retreats, workshops and group gatherings. These activities will help sustain the facility and generate income to reinvest in Arabana community priorities.

At its heart, Arabana Warli is about helping our people return to Country and creating a welcoming place for connection across generations. We look forward to the visits, gatherings and memories it will hold in the years ahead.
