Arabana Directors Attend BHP Traditional Owners Forum

Recently, two of our Directors, Colleen Strangways and Glen Wingfield, attended the Traditional Owners (TO) Forum. This forum provides a valuable opportunity for Traditional Owners to connect directly with BHP executives, discuss key priorities, and hear updates on BHP's activities.

The forum is an important space for ensuring that Traditional Owners’ voices are heard and that meaningful dialogue takes place around the issues that matter most to our communities. It’s a chance to align priorities, raise concerns, and explore opportunities for future collaboration.

We appreciate Colleen and Glen’s participation and their commitment to advocating for the interests of Arabana people. These discussions play a crucial role in building stronger partnerships and ensuring that Indigenous perspectives remain central to projects and developments on our lands.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we live, work, and play. We recognise the cultural, spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual and economic connection to their lands, water, flora, and fauna. We honour and pay respects to all elders; past, present, and emerging, as well as all generations of people now and into the future, for they hold the memories and the future.
