ARABANA WARDU & WADNI WORKSHOPS

AAC are holding a couple of workshops for Arabana wardu (children) to learn, sing and record three or four wadni (songs) around wangka in Port Augusta.


These gatherings will have a focus on learning, singing and moving to three wadni (songs or short ditties) in wangka (language) Arabana. There will be two, 2-day gatherings in Port Augusta for Arabana wardu (children) and their parents, carers, guardians.


These activities and singing will be video recorded to produce three short films and will be posted to our YouTube Channel as well as develop a folder/book that contains the wadni (songs), the sounds of wangka Arabana and QR codes to access songs on the internet.


Proposed dates for workshops are

1st & 2nd May and

5th & 6th May

from around 9.30am-2.30pm
