ALICE SPRINGS MUSIC & LANGUAGE PROJECT CATCH-UP

Are you an Arabana person currently practising or interested in music and language?

The Centre for Aboriginal Studies in Music (University of Adelaide) is looking to support Arabana musicians and community of all ages and abilities to reflect on language as part of a 2-year process of creating new musical works.

We will discuss the project and also chat about and perhaps develop some language and music ideas. This catch-up is run with the generous support and guidance of the Arabana Aboriginal Corporation.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we live, work, and play. We recognise the cultural, spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual and economic connection to their lands, water, flora, and fauna. We honour and pay respects to all elders; past, present, and emerging, as well as all generations of people now and into the future, for they hold the memories and the future.
