Community Workshop Wrap-Up: Updating the Arabana Wadlhu Ngurra-ku (For Healthy Country) Plan

On Sunday, 13 October, the Arabana community came together at the Standpipe Golf Motor Inn for a workshop focused on updating the Arabana Wadlhu Ngurra-ku (For Healthy Country) Plan.

The session facilitated by Saras Kumar from Conservation Management, provided a platform for community members to share their thoughts and insights, ensuring that the updated plan reflects the values and needs of all Arabana people.

We were grateful to see participation from a diverse group of community members, whose input is vital in shaping a plan that supports the ongoing care and stewardship of Arabana Country.

Lunch was shared among attendees, creating a welcoming space for open discussion, collaboration, and connection. This workshop was an essential step in ensuring the Healthy Country Plan continues to align with our collective vision for the future.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to these important discussions. Your voices play a critical role in preserving and strengthening the connection between our community, culture, and Country.

Stay tuned for more updates on the plan as we continue working towards a healthier future for Arabana Country.
