Good News Story - Celebrating Dr Veronica Arbon

Dr Veronica Arbon was recognised by the World Indigenous Nations Higher Education Consortium (WINHEC) for her work in the areas of ethics and higher education on the international stage. The plaque was presented by the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Higher Education Committee (NATSIHEC) who carried the document to Batchelor Institute from Fairbanks, Alaska. Thankyou Aunty Daphne May and niece Nicole Shannahan, who works at RMIT University in Melbourne, for being there for support.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we live, work, and play. We recognise the cultural, spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual and economic connection to their lands, water, flora, and fauna. We honour and pay respects to all elders; past, present, and emerging, as well as all generations of people now and into the future, for they hold the memories and the future.
