Arabana Rangers to host the regions 3rd Indigenous Ranger Gathering

Our Arabana Rangers will host the third Indigenous Ranger Gathering for the region and will be held on Arabana Country at Finniss Springs in August. This significant event is dedicated to Indigenous Rangers working across the SA Arid Lands region and highlights the ongoing commitment to preserving and protecting Country.

The event is an initiative of the Aboriginal Engagement Network, and this year, we are partnering with SA Arid Lands (SAAL) and Indigenous Desert Alliance (IDA) to host this gathering. It’s an opportunity for Rangers to come together, share knowledge, and discuss the challenges and successes of working on Country.

We look forward to holding another meaningful event that strengthens our connections and collaboration across communities, and further supports the invaluable work being done by all Rangers in the region.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we live, work, and play. We recognise the cultural, spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual and economic connection to their lands, water, flora, and fauna. We honour and pay respects to all elders; past, present, and emerging, as well as all generations of people now and into the future, for they hold the memories and the future.
