Arru - we are hosting an Information Day to share more about our new Arabana Women’s Ranger Program.
This will be a relaxed and informal lunch gathering where community members can drop in, have a yarn, and learn more about what the brand new Women's Ranger Program is all about.
Friday 20 March
11.30am – 2.30pm
Arabana House
48 Flinders Tce
Port Augusta
Lunch will be provided.
We will talk about where the program is currently at, the type of work the Women’s Rangers will be involved in, and what the upcoming recruitment process will look like.
Our existing Arabana Men's Ranger team will also be there to share their experiences of being rangers. They will talk about the type of work they do on Country, the places they travel, the technology they use in the field, and what a day as a ranger can look like.
This is not a formal presentation. It’s simply an opportunity to meet the team, ask questions, and learn more about the Women's Ranger role.
We are also interested in hearing from community members who may be thinking about applying or who are curious about becoming a female ranger in the future.
If you are interested in the program, thinking about applying, or just want to come along and find out more, we’d love to see you there.
