Arru! Here is the second video from the recent Arabana Rangers Elders Trip. This video captures another powerful journey where Rangers, Elders, and young mob came together to connect with Country, share traditional knowledge, and learn from each other.
As part of this trip, Rangers recorded cultural information which is crucial for protecting and preserving Arabana heritage. With only a few Elders left who hold deep knowledge of Country, these trips are vital in ensuring that this knowledge is passed on to the next generation.
We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Indigenous Desert Alliance (IDA) for their continued support and collaboration, Salty Davenport for filming and editing these powerful videos, Saltbush Ag for their hospitality during our stay at Stuart’s Creek Station, and Trevor Wright from WrightsAir and William Creek Hotel for their support, including the breathtaking flight over the Painted Hills and Kati Thanda.
A special thank you goes to our Elders, young ones, and all those who joined the trip, sharing the wisdom and culture of Arabana Country that will be carried forward for generations.
