Watch the SA Arid Lands Indigenous Ranger Gathering in Action

Arru! Check out this video from the third annual SA Arid Lands Indigenous Ranger Gathering at Finniss Springs. This year’s gathering brought together seven ranger teams, where knowledge, skills, and stories were shared across the region.

Our Arabana Elders guided a special tour of Country, including Kati-Thanda and the mound springs, and workshops covered cat trapping, camera monitoring, media, and ranger development. It was wonderful to see everyone learning, laughing, and connecting on Country.

A huge thank you to all the Rangers, Arabana Elders, SA Arid Lands Landscape Board, BHP, and Indigenous Desert Alliance for supporting this gathering.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we live, work, and play. We recognise the cultural, spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual and economic connection to their lands, water, flora, and fauna. We honour and pay respects to all elders; past, present, and emerging, as well as all generations of people now and into the future, for they hold the memories and the future.
